The person behind the vision
Mary-Louise Stein is the visionary behind the McGregor Art Walk. She’s a mother and a teacher, but more importantly an established artist in her own right. Having founded and curated the Cape Art Route, this is not her first rodeo.
She counts having completed the official swim from Robben Island to Blouberg, as one of her most important achievements, along with having sold her art to both local and international buyers.
2005-2007: Founder and Curator, Cape Art Route which took visitors into artists’ homes to meet and buy directly from them
2004: Curated a group exhibition at The Hout-Bay Manor.
1988-1990: Assistant Curator, Prime Art Gallery4
